Who We Are
Our 30-year history in timber frame construction started with
a historical restoration that got us hooked on timber frame buildings.
It was 1976, right here in South County, Rhode Island, when as
young craftsmen, we disassembled a pre-revolutionary war era frame, moved it to
the clients' new site, and reconstructed the frame with new joinery. We got such
a thrill out of creating the new joinery and making our client happy that we dedicated
our careers to this fabulous form of construction. Three decades and more than
500 projects later and we love it as much now as we did then.
We're passionate about timber framing and have been since 1976.
We find that the people who come to us are just as passionate about our craft
as we are. It makes for a great working relationship. No matter what their vision
- from traditional to contemporary - together we bring it to life.
Take our passion and add our design, engineering, carpentry and building skills - all under one roof - and we offer the most seamless and effortless building experience in the business. At South County Post & Beam, we build all of our frames in our onsite workshop and we can ship and erect them anywhere in the country. For over thirty years we have created high quality, energy efficient, environmentally harmonious timber frame masterpieces.
