South County Post & Beam has collaborated with hundreds of architects
throughout the years. We welcome the opportunity to be your timber
frame resource and to become a part of your client's team that makes
their dream a reality.
Some of our most inspiring homes are built in partnership with architects. We
welcome the opportunity to team up, and consider it to be one of our strong elements.
The earlier we are brought into the process, the more seamless we move from design
to building. This way we can contribute our experience at the onset and save you
time researching issues unique to your design and timber framing.
Our design process typically begins with an architect submitting conceptual sketches
or schematic drawings. The design group will review the plans, and recommend suitable
framing choices. Once these are approved, we will produce CAD frame plans
and prepare an estimate.
After the contract is approved and the design is chosen, the journey really begins.
Your client's frame is fabricated, detailed, pre-fit, cut and formed, all at South
County's state-of-the-art facility. The South County
Timber Framers cut your frame, then package, deliver and erect the frame.
This matchless method of continuity allows for seamless execution of the project.
If your client is environmentally conscious, we also have the ability to provide frames using recycled timbers. We believe in, and support the concept of, responsible building. We use natural materials and recycle waste, whenever possible.
